An excerpt from my graduation project.
A short animated film encapsulating memories through conversation with my grandmother.
A documentary-fiction animation exploring the nature of memories- pondering on how we remember and recollect them and how it seeps into our lives and unravels / reveals itself, almost dreamlike, in different forms in the present.
Techniques: Stopmotion animation, needle felting, collage, derivation of script through conversation with my grandmother.
The purpose of the project is to give form to reflection of memories that makes one up. To look back at childhood through shared space and time with my grandmother as an attempt to immortalise fragments of fading memories.
Understanding how a shared experience is perceived and remembered by my grandmother and myself and how they are interpolated into our present. Exploring the transportation through words, objects, situations, gestures, people etc into the world of memories.
